I have an adorable 8 month old little boy named Chase. Let me just start off by saying that he is amazing. It is true when people say that you don't know unconditional love until you have a child... but enough with the mushy stuff.
No matter what people try to tell you, having a baby will change you. The person you once were, doesn't exist. You once showered by yourself, you once wore clothes that didn't have boogers smeared all over your shoulder, you once were a person who didn't care how much Huggies cost or what brand of baby food is on sale. You used to drink out of a backwash-free water bottle and close the bathroom door. You didn't care when story time started at the library or what time you got home for the day. You used to not keep a spare diaper in your trunk. You used to only tell your dog to stop chewing on your shoe. You used to stay up late-by choice. You used to make plans at the last minute, and then change them...
Although, the person you once were doesn't exist.. a new person does; "Mommy." And being Mommy really beats the person I once was.
